Through some workshops which I have been involved with I was able to experiment in a dark room creating photos, and became more experienced using Photoshop, a skill which has become more useful through time.
This blog will act as a digital portfolio for my favoured pieces of work, from sketches and paintings to story boards and essays. My aim is to share what inspires my creativity. UCAS Person ID -1163796809

Examples of Art Work
I have selected different pieces of my artwork all from varied themes and projects:
Face expressions
Use of art using technology, including Photoshop effects to reflect the artists work:
Animals project
For my animal project I researched a range of artists including Nesby which was my inspiration for one of my dog final pieces with the tea-stained background.

Natural forms project
This project is one of my favorite, the artists which inspired me most were Jennifer Vranes, Anne Donkelaar and Ben Walker. I took their styles into consideration as well as my own whilst creating my work.

Multicultural society
In this project I looked at the different ways that society is presented in different cultures, and how the different artists have represented it through their own style which i have interpreted in my own work.
Weathering and decay
Throughout this project I was most inspired by the artists Samantha Lesley and Valerie Hegarty. I researched the different elements of weathering and decay, including the rust and patterns of different metals, fungi, and abandoned or decaying interior rooms/settings.
here is a small collection of the work I produced.

A2 Media Studies
For A2 Media studies, our task is to create a promotion package for a new film, including a teaser trailer, a poster and a film magazine front cover featuring our film.
Working as a team, we decided to choose the genre of Romantic Film Noir- this is more often classed as a sub-genre.
The production in still in process, however you can visit my A2 Media blog for anymore information: http://anniesa2media.blogspot.co.uk/
Un-edited photoshoot for magazine/poster and character profiles:
In Noir women are fickle, unreliable, untrustworthy and weak. A key icon is the figure of the Femme Fatale, The seductress, the Temptress, the Predator who figures prominently in film noirs. This is women out of male control. Beautiful but dangerous, frightening, exploiting the weakness of the male, conspiring to undermine his maleness. This is maleness under threat.
The Seeker Hero is drawn into the events usually because of his profession. A Detective. Or because of some special relationship with the female character. only the hero is above the corruption, perversity and violence of a world dominated by greed and lust. Most of all the client. the woman for whom he is fighting, is out of control and cannot be trusted and is constantly undermining his efforts.
The Victim Hero is dragged into them by his own weakness of character by some moral failing -lust, desire for possession of a beautiful woman. money, rich character. More and more his weaknesses drag him towards his doom as his life careers out of control, he is weak willed.
In order to protect children from unsuitable and even harmful content in films and videos and to give consumers information they might need about a particular film or video before deciding whether or not to view it, the BBFC examines and age rates films and videos before they are released. This independent scrutiny prior to release ensures the highest possible level of protection and empowerment. BBFC looks at issues such as discrimination, drugs, horror, dangerous and easily imitable behaviour, language, nudity, sex and violence when making decisions. They also consider context, the tone and likely impact of a work on the potential audience.
SOCIAL NETWORKING- we have used the same social network sites we had already created an account for previously as we have used the same production company, we have just adapted the content to fit the genre.
Analysis of other films posters and magazines:
The final product and evaluation is currently in process.
EXAMPLE MEDIA ESSAY- YOUTH CULTURE THROUGH TIME

For My AS Media project, me and my work partner Rosie were assessed on 2 different things:-
1) Our Preliminary exercise:This is an exercise in continuity. We must film and edit a character opening a door, crossing a room and sitting down in a chair opposite another character and exchange a couple of lines of dialogue.
This is the final product of this task:-

2) Our main task is to create the titles and opening sequence of a horror film to last 2 minutes.
Alot of planning was thought through to create this piece of work, most of which can be viewed on my AS Media blog which was used as a kind of portfolio at the time: http://anniesasmediablog.blogspot.co.uk/
We created pages on social networking sites Twitter (https://twitter.com/indistinctive14) :
and Tumblr (http://indistinctiveproduction.tumblr.com/)
We created these sites because it would promote our film to the target audience (15-25) which we deciphered from the results of our audience questionnaire:
Horror Questionnaire from annie7069
Here are 2 questions we answered to evaluate our work, to see other work I have done for this project see my AS media blog: http://anniesasmediablog.blogspot.co.uk/
