A2 Media Studies

For A2 Media studies, our task is to create a promotion package for a new film, including a teaser trailer, a poster and a film magazine front cover featuring our film.

Working as a team, we decided to choose the genre of Romantic Film Noir- this is more often classed as a sub-genre.

The production in still in process, however you can visit my A2 Media blog for anymore information: http://anniesa2media.blogspot.co.uk/

Un-edited photoshoot for magazine/poster and character profiles:

In Noir women are fickle, unreliable, untrustworthy and weak. A key icon is the figure of the Femme Fatale, The seductress, the Temptress, the Predator who figures prominently in film noirs. This is women out of male control. Beautiful  but dangerous, frightening, exploiting the weakness of the male, conspiring to undermine his maleness. This is maleness under threat.

The Seeker Hero is drawn into the events usually because of his profession. A Detective. Or because of some special relationship with the female character. only the hero is above the corruption, perversity and violence of a world dominated by greed and lust. Most of all the client. the woman for whom he is fighting, is out of control and cannot be trusted and is constantly undermining his efforts.

The Victim Hero is dragged into them by his own weakness of character by some moral failing -lust, desire for possession of a beautiful woman. money, rich character. More and more his weaknesses drag him towards his doom as his life careers out of control, he is weak willed.

In order to protect children from unsuitable and even harmful content in films and videos and to give consumers information they might need about a particular film or video before deciding whether or not to view it, the BBFC examines and age rates films and videos before they are released. This independent scrutiny prior to release ensures the highest possible level of protection and empowerment. BBFC looks at issues such as discrimination, drugs, horror, dangerous and easily imitable behaviour, language, nudity, sex and violence when making decisions. They also consider context, the tone and likely impact of a work on the potential audience.

SOCIAL NETWORKING- we have used the same social network sites we had already created an account for previously as we have used the same production company, we have just adapted the content to fit the genre.

Analysis of other films posters and magazines:

The final product and evaluation is currently in process.
